Congratulations and welcome to New York Institute of Technology (NYIT)! We are delighted that you have decided to become a part of NYIT. Orientation is a program designed to ease your transition to the University. It is also an opportunity to build relationships with other new students and the NYIT Manhattan community. Orientation is the first step to a successful experience at NYIT.
During the Orientation sessions, students will stay overnight in the New School Residence Hall at 20th Street and 8th Avenue and participate in activities from the morning through the evening. Please note, the overnight accommodations are for NYIT students only. Guests and Families who will need overnight accommodations may go to http://nyit.edu/locations/manhattan/manhattan_local_hotels/ to find local hotels in the area.
You will have an opportunity to meet fellow students, current students, key campus community members and begin building relationships.
We have a number of different dates to accommodate your schedule. Students are welcome to attend any date with availability.

The Presidential and Academic Welcome is a mandatory event for all undergraduate new students. Our university President and your academic schools will formally welcome you to the university on September 8, 2015.
